About Us

Dr. Carlos Beharie

Dr. Carlos Beharie, a graduate of Boston University Medical School, completed his internship and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston City Hospital in 1982. During his training, Dr. Beharie developed additional expertise in the management of high-risk pregnancies.

After residency training, Dr. Beharie completed his Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1984 and was advanced to being a Fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Over the past 27 years, Dr. Beharie has been engaged in both group practice and solo practice. He was the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the HMO Family Health Program (FHP) from 1984-1987, and has held several clinical and administrative management positions with various health care organizations. Dr. Beharie presently has offices in El Monte, California and West Covina, California. He is well respected by his peers and hospital staff, and for the last several years has been nominated for Physician of the Year recognition at Queen of the Valley. He places his patients’ care and well being above all other interests.

About Us

We have two office locations: Clinica De Maternidad, Ginecologia Y Pediatria is in the city of El Monte, California and Citrus Obstetrics & Gynecology Medical Associates, Inc. is in the city of West Covina, California. Each location is near the Interstate 10 Freeway providing convenient access for patients.

Clinica De Maternidad, Ginecologia Y Pediatria provides both pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology services, while Citrus Obstetrics & Gynecology Medical Associates, Inc. provides obstetrics and gynecology services. These include family planning services, antenatal and postpartum care, intrauterine device placement, tubal ligations, pre-pregnancy and pregnancy counseling, nutritional and psychosocial counseling. Pediatric services include all childhood vaccinations, well and sick child-care. Pediatric services are provided by and under the supervision of Dr. Santosh Garg. Dr. Garg is a Board Certified Pediatrician with over 25 years of practice experience. Certified Physician Assistant Ms. Valerie Hernandez also provides obstetrics and gynecology and pediatric care at both Clinica De Maternidad, Ginecologia Y Pediatria and Citrus Obstetrics & Gynecology Medical Associates, Inc. Ms. Donna Fritz is a Licensed Midwife, licensed under the Medical Board of California since 1994, and holding a National Midwifery Certification since 1987.  She provides obstetrical and gynecological care in both offices.  She also has a B.S. in Physiological Psychology. The West Covina office is supervised by Ms. Jeny James an accomplished office manager with over 25 years of medical office practice management and billing experience. The El Monte office is supervised by Ms. Jamie Bojorquez, a medical assistant with several years of office management experience.
